The Challenge:

KFC is a global brand with a very recognisable identity. So how do you create a unique visual style for KFC Africa, capturing the local aesthetic and culture, while staying true to the brand?

The Insight:

KFC is enjoyed in the same way all around the world. It’s always finger lickin’ good. But KFC Africa knows that how it gets to their customers’ plate is very important to them, which is why they needed to communicate their 6 Taste Guarantees.

The only other difference is the world that KFC Africa customers live in, which, luckily for us, we live in too. Africa already has a unique, recognisable identity, complete with its own well-known and much-loved iconography and cultural cues.

The Solution:

Our job was actually finger-lickin’ly easy. We took familiar African iconography and visual cues and seamlessly wove them into our narratives, giving the global KFC look and feel a distinctly African flavour.

We brought KFC’s 6 Taste Guarantees to life in light-hearted 2D animated narratives that assured customers that ensuring they got what they wanted from a piece of KFC chicken was important to KFC.
